| Abstract: | This study investigated the impact of globalization on poverty reduction in Nigeria. The study adopted the mix research method? the research design is literature survey with indept content analysis. Globalization is the integration of the economic, social, political and cultural systems of the nations. It also encompass issues of climate change, environment, human development, sustainable development etc. Poverty reduction on the other hand, is the improvement in the mix of education, income, health, political participation and voice etc in order to improve the general well being of the citizenry. Empirical literature were surveyed which resulted mixed reactions. The findings of the study is that, globalization has positive impact on poverty reduction in Nigeria. However, this impact is not significant. The study therefore conclude that, globalization enhance poverty reduction at a small scale in Nigeria. We therefore, recommend that the Nigerian government should deploy the right technologies with broader networking and cooperation with global peers in areas such as education, health care and infrastructure. This will positively and significantly impact poverty reduction in Nigeria. |
